Uninstalling/Reinstalling/Updating VMware Player does not delete any of the Virtual Machines you've created.
Just curious what applications have you uninstalled/reinstalled/updated that deleted the work product of that application? I'd venture to say not one mainstream app would do that and even it it did it shouldn't matter if one does what one is supposed to do and that is maintain current up to date backups of User Data at all times!
