I have multiple servers (esxi 4/5) on which i use(d) ghettoVCB. one server has two VMs with 1TB disks and both disks got corrupted in the last weeks. the esxi host did run flawless before I started using ghetoVCB. I backed up the VMs in question via NFS and I suspect there may have been connection problems now and than, which appearently ghettoVCB (or the underlying esxi commands) couldn't handle.
Now I'm in the situation, that I have one machine I cannot consolidate (it hase around 10 snapshots meanwhile by following the usual advice to create a snapshot and doing a "delete all snapshots" afterwards). a "vmkfstools -i SRC -d thin DEST" stops after a while with
Clone: X% done.Failed to clone disk : Input/output error (327689).
the same with another VMs .vmdk which I can consolidate, but I cannot back up the machine, cannot migrate or clone it (Clone: 0% done.Failed to clone disk : Input/output error (327689).) (at zero percent).
Any hope here?
