Background;
In a vCenter Server 5.0.0 environment a clone to template operation was completed on a working VM. The template was saved on the same host that the 'cloned from' VM resides on.
No changes to the host configuration were made during this process.
The VM that was used a the source of the template was powered off.
The template that was cloned from that VM was deployed as a VM to the same host, using a different name than the original VM. Besides the name change, no 'changes' were made to the deployed VM.
When the 'newly deployed' VM was powered on there were no NIC interfaces present on the guest.
The expectation was that the newly deployed VM would be a 'duplicate' of the VM it was cloned from; that whould be functional machine after power on. Is this correct?
