Hello All,
I´m implementing a new infrastructure of VCenter 5.1 and I have a question.
The customer need a redundant infrastructure and we decided to create vcenter SSO in HA mode following the vmware article http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=2033588 .
In Step 7 of the article I need to copy the item 1 “copy the root certificate of the certificate chain that issued the SSL certificate for the load balancing software….”.
"""""""""
Step 7 – Update the Lookup Service Records
- Copy the root certificate of the certificate chain that issued the SSL certificate for the load balancing software to the machine on which SSO node1 is installed. For example, copy it to C:/updateInfo/.
""""""""
My question is:
which certificate is that? Is the certificate self signed created during SSO instalation ?? or is a CA Certificate.?
It is mandatory to create CA Certificates to the new infrastructure of VCenter 5.1 or is possible to use the self-signed certificate created when I installed the first SSO server?
If I can use the self-signed certificate, with certificate root I want to copy to the SSO Server for the complete configuration?
