Standard switch. Nothing showing DVS. I will confirm tomorrow.

So no downtime on the VMs in the hosts?

Re: Extended disk VM
Thin Provisioning Status: unknown
Can you check from SAN side if the LUN's are thin-provisioned and you have enough storage at physical level.
Re: visual studio build problem using shared folder
Thx for the answer!
Unfortunately source control server and the guest can not see each other due to network settings (it is on purpose).
But fortunately I managed to find a workaround. Created a partition on the host machine's disk for the source and added this partition to the guest as HDD.
Bad part of it that this partition can be used only from the guest if switched on, but so far this seems to be the best workaround.

Re: Second Nic Replication Appliance
I have an issue with add the static routes information to /etc/sysconfig/network/routes file
For instance to add a line to the file for example
192.168.101.0/24192.168.101.1dev eth1
After reboot the print route doesn't update the GW to routing table
If I add the route manually, it works fine
route add -net 192.168.101.0/24 gw 192.168.101.1 dev eth1
Is there a syntax issue??
or am I missing a step.
Replication appliance version 6.5.1-8136506
Re: properly pre-install USB printer drivers?
there use to an issue between Appvolume agent and USB redirection , i saw same cases many couple of times with same printer
Can you please try the below -it may work
create a DWORD value “ProcessDriverStore” and set it to 0 under
“HKLM\System\CurrentcontrolSet\Services\Parameters” on the base image and then
see if that makes any difference for Dymo Label Printer after a new snapshot
and recompose"
Re: Tools 10.2.1 or 10.2.5?
Do we have a way to export all the VMs Drivers installed versions from power cli.

Hi LucD,
Thanks for your reply.
How can I query only on local disks rather than DVD-ROM and Network Mapped drives.
Please help
Re: The whole esxi get stuck after kernel errors on one of the guests vm
vmware.log doesn't exist.
Is the hostd generating any worker dump files? Do you see any crash dump under /var/core folder?
Are you referring the host machine or the guest?
I don't know / cannot enter the esxi host shell, so I don't know. The guest doesn't have any cores.
I didn't have logs in vmkernel.log, it was already too old. So I reproduced on 1.8.2018 6:18:
Aug 1 06:18:05 ubuntu testpmd[19356]: EAL: Probing VFIO support...

I attached hostd.log, vmkernel.log and syslog of the host.
Thank you.
Re: Building a new vCenter and bringing in existing ESXi hosts
Just verified, "vSphere Distributed Switch" has nothing configured on each host.
Re: Building a new vCenter and bringing in existing ESXi hosts
So no downtime if you connect the hosts to new vcenter.
Re: VCSA 6 Email alerts not working
Hi,
It's known bug in VCSA 6.5, quick resolution what I applied is - redefining the mail server @ vCenter settings and it’s Done
Steps:
- Open the Web Client
- Click on vCenter (Left Pane) -> Select the Config tab -> General Settings -> Click Edit -> Mail Server
- Modify the Mail server to any Random IP/FQDN and click OK to save.
- Again go to edit and put the actual Mail server IP/FQDN and click OK to save.
- Enjoy the Alerts !
Re: Vmware horizon get black screen then disconnect
its obvious the issue from network,
is there any firewall in middle within the proxy ?what kind of proxy server in your network ?
normally we notice this behavior when the firewall block the PCOIP protocol , (4172 UDP)
